“Asha” Guest Artist – Nadishana

Nadishana is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and sound designer from Siberia, who creates his own unique and innovative approach to world fusion music – the creative synthesis of different musical traditions of the world on the basis of contemporary technologies. He plays on more than 200 instruments of the world, including self-created ones.

He can be heard on the song “The Wildest Dream” (track 3) from our 2017 album “Asha”. His masterful technique on hand (hang) pans and jaw harp are truly inspiring.

We first became aware of Vladiswar Nadishana in 2008 upon hearing “Water Song”, which he later recorded in 2011 with his amazing Nadishana Trio, featuring extraordinary veterans Armin Metz (bass, Chapman Stick) and Steve Shehan (percussion). Richard invited him to perform as a featured guest artist on AO Music’s 2013 album release “Hokulea”, where he played wooden flutes, hulusi, kaval, duclar, futujara, hand pans and jaw harp.

Nadishana is one of the busiest, and most prolific forces on the world music scene today, appearing with extraordinary projects that span the globe.
